The Mac keeps a register and will show the contacts if you start “Terminal” and enter the following command: “tail -f /var/log/system.log”. You can repair all contacts quickly and easily using this method. You just need to edit the contact once in Posteo webmail (you don’t need to change anything) and then save it again, in order for the contact to be repaired and once again synchronise with the Mac address book. ![]() Our webmail address book corrects such technically defective contacts. If a contact is technically not 100% properly entered, the address book will not synchronise the contact. The Mac address book is very sensitive to the technical quality of its entries. For the username, you need to enter your Posteo email address including the Pro Tip With 10.7 (Lion), 10.8 (Mountain Lion) and 10.9 (Mavericks) some of the settings need to be entered differently. ![]() Our tests have determined that address book synchronisation with Mac OS X versions 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.7 (Lion), 10.8 (Mountain Lion) and 10.9 (Mavericks) works fine.
